Driver Safety and Zero-Tolerance Safety Policy
At Peak Family Transport LLC, safety is our highest priority. No transportation assignment, schedule, appointment, or business objective is more important than the safety of our passengers, employees, healthcare partners, and the public.
Every Peak Family Transport driver has the authority and responsibility to make decisions that protect life and safety.
Driver Authority
Drivers are authorized to delay, refuse, discontinue, or terminate transportation whenever they reasonably believe that continuing transportation would create an unsafe condition or violate company policy, applicable law, or safe operating practices.
Drivers shall not be required or expected to:

Operate a vehicle in an unsafe manner.

Exceed posted speed limits or violate traffic laws.

Operate while fatigued, ill, distracted, or otherwise impaired.

Transport passengers who require a higher level of medical care than the Company is authorized or equipped to provide.

Lift, carry, or transfer passengers beyond the Company’s Safe Transfer Policy.

Enter unsafe residences or properties.
-
Continue transportation when passenger behavior creates a safety risk.

Transport passengers under conditions that exceed vehicle capacity or safe operating limits.
-
Operate during hazardous weather or road conditions when it would be unsafe to do so.

Violate Company policies or procedures to satisfy passenger requests.
Zero-Tolerance Safety Policy
Peak Family Transport LLC maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any conduct that compromises transportation safety.
Drivers shall immediately discontinue or refuse transportation when a passenger:

Becomes violent, abusive, threatening, or harassing.

Appears significantly impaired by alcohol or drugs.
-
Uses or possesses illegal drugs.
-
Consumes alcohol inside the vehicle.

Smokes or vapes inside the vehicle.
-
Refuses to wear a seat belt when required by law.
-
Interferes with the safe operation of the vehicle.
-
Attempts to distract the driver while the vehicle is moving.

Commits or attempts unlawful acts.
-
Creates any condition that places the safety of passengers, the driver, or the public at risk.
Drivers may request assistance from law enforcement or emergency responders whenever necessary.
Driver Protection
No employee shall be disciplined, retaliated against, or otherwise penalized for:

Refusing an unsafe transportation assignment.

Declining transportation that exceeds the Company’s scope of service.

Reporting safety concerns.

Reporting hazardous roadway conditions.
-
Delaying transportation for safety reasons.
-
Contacting emergency services when reasonably necessary.
-
Complying with federal, state, local, or Company safety requirements.
Peak Family Transport LLC fully supports employees who make good-faith safety decisions consistent with Company policy.
Passenger Cooperation
Passengers are expected to cooperate with all reasonable safety instructions provided by Company personnel.
Failure to comply with safety instructions may result in delayed, discontinued, or refused transportation.

Every employee is empowered to stop any transportation activity that presents an unreasonable risk of injury, illness, property damage, or violation of law.
Our commitment is simple:
If it is not safe, we will not transport.
By scheduling or receiving transportation services from Peak Family Transport LLC, passengers acknowledge and agree that transportation may be delayed, modified, or discontinued whenever necessary to protect the safety of passengers, employees, or the public.
